"A fine slide guitarist, Kelly is also a careful and literate songwriter, somewhat in the John Hiatt vein... an artist and writer to watch."
All Music Review by Steve Leggett
"A wordy tunesmith who sometimes cuts to the heart of his material with a single line..."

Warren Zevon was born on 1/24/47, and wrote one song that mentioned the CIA.
1/24/24 is as good a time as any to release a song called:
24 Hours of Lies
After realizing the studio version of the song was over six minutes long, I decided to offer an abbreviated solo version, trimming off about a minute and a half. Also gives it a bit of that old time protest song vibe, and the words are all still there.
Thanks for your time, whether four and a half minutes, six minutes or both. As Curly Howard so succinctly put it, "Time marches on."
New Releases Coming in Early 2024
A new album, Dimmer Glimmer, is due out in March 2024. It includes six Rolling Stones covers that were recorded as a eulogy of sorts for my brother Chris (CP) Kelly, pictured in the accompanying photo (the older of the two). We were the Stones aficionados in the family, so with his passing, the glimmer became dimmer.
The Stones tunes were coincidentally recorded the day after Charlie Watts died, a live session with drummer Todd Glass (a major Watts devotee himself) and bassist John Barron at The Sound Shop in Macomb, MI.
